COMMITTEE ACADEMIC CONFERENCES

This July, the 28 Heads of State and Government gathered at the Warsaw Summit to draft the future of the Alliance. NATO’s essential mission has not changed, even though the Allies have two open flanks, one on the East and another one on the South, their commitment to ensure freedom, peace, security and the rule of law remains unchanged.  Political dialogue is still open for Russia as Allies are looking forward to finding a solution to end the conflict with the country and raise the blockade off from the NATO Russia Council. The conflict in Syria perpetuated by ISIL has led into a migrant and humanitarian crisis, violating all human rights, threatening European borders and the stability of our MENA partners. The Alliance is ready, if needed, to take the necessary steps to ensure collective defense.
